INTRODUCTIONEdit

This is a project aimed at converting Fallout 1 to the much better Fallout 2 engine. By doing so, many issues such as the faulty AP Ammunition will be fixed and modding will be easier.

Keep in mind that this is still a work in progress and any help you can offer will be appreciated greatly.

CURRENT ISSUES (As of 9/2/12)Edit

PENDING, NEED ASSISTANCE

1) Water chip quest in Pipboy (countdown post-it note) [No one currently working on this]
2) Dotted line while moving on world map [No one currently working on this]

FIXABLE
1) Need to restore comments and some other stuff from Fallout 1 scripts into the Fallout 2 scripts. [Sduibek is working on this]
2) Can still walk on some of the ocean in the world map, ocean doesn't light up when "explored". (thanks Lexx) [Sduibek is working on this; Mask files and some text edits]
3) No random encounters. Just need to fill out the tables in the txt file. [Sduibek is working on this]
4) Elevators don't work properly. [Darek is working on this]
5) Need to make sure all global variables match with scripts and aren't reserved somehow internally by Fallout 2 engine. [Sduibek is working on this]
6) Tell-Me-About button does not exist. [can use workaround of having entries in an equivalent in-dialog selection] [Sduibek will work on this]
7) AI.TXT [Sduibek is working on this]
8) Player will be able to get 300% in skills. [Sfall does this- "Add 'set_skill_max(200)' into a script somewhere that will run once per game load. (I suggest a global script with no if(game_loaded) block)"]
9) Water chip timeout movies [Can do this via script]
10) Messages when you die (enddeath.txt) [No one currently working on this]
11) STATUS has Fallout 2 stuff in PipBoy. (pipboy.msg, holodisk.txt) [No one currently working on this]
12) Party members (party.txt, perhaps scripts too?) [No one currently working on this]
13) QUEST entries in Pipboy (quest.txt) [No one currently working on this]
14) ARCHIVES (movies) in Pipboy (where do we edit this?) [No one currently working on this]

ASSUME FIXABLE
1) Crashes when moving toward Vance (script issue assumedly). [Sduibek will work on this]
2) Many many Perks need to be modified, removed, added. [Sfall should be able to do this] - [No one currently working on this]
3) A few Traits need to be modified as well. [Sfall should be able to do this] - [No one currently working on this]
4) Triggering endgame prompt from Fallout 2 so we don't have to use Corpse's Endgame Mod hack.

FIXED ISSUES (For Reference)Edit

1) Master.dat & Critter.dat from Fallout 2 no longer required (thanks Darek!!)
2) Scripts are now in Fallout 2 format (thanks Noid, Timeslip, Jordan and others)
3) No music was playing on the maps (this is just txt edits)
4) Main menu layout (is on left side, needs to be right side) [Sfall does this now, thanks Timeslip!]
5) Vault 13 submap links didn't work (if clicking on the world map, only option is cavern entrance) (well, mostly fixed)
6) Players level max 21 instead of 99 [Sfall]
